read me my rights. i covered a DR song

Yesterday I finished a cover of 'a spinning song'.
It's a song for my debut solo album. It's not your average cover, since the album is made up out of hard hitting death metal.

I've tried to contact Dax twice through his Facebook page. But there has never been any answer.
It would be rad if there's permission to use his song/lyrics for the album.

Do you guys know of any way to contact the man?

My album will be out march 26th. Right now mastering the 10 songs that will be on it.

Nobody's going to out-Dax Dax, so if you're going to cover one of his songs, I think it's really smart to take it a totally different direction like you did. The original is probably one of about three songs Dax has done that I don't really like very much, and I have to stop short of saying I love this too, but I think you did some really interesting things with it. I hope you get the go ahead to include it on your album. Good luck!

Haven't had any response on my question about this cover.

Maybe i'm going out on a limb on this one, but on 26th march the album will be released and this coversong will be part of it.

The album will be downloadable through bandcamp and is released for free. So, i'm not planning on getting rich anytime soon.

Regardless, if people dig the song, it would be a great way to promote my Dax Riggs fanship

I think, if you don't plan on making any money anyhow, you can just release it. Everybody and their mother does it on Youtube et al..
